Home Inspection Certificate

The Home Inspection Certificate program is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of practical and technical skills and tools, preparing them for a career in the home inspection industry. This program provides training that links with the professional standards of the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

• Admissions Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent or mature student status and a passing grade on the admissions test.
• Objectives
  • The understanding to ensure that pubic health and safety regulations are met.
  • The ability to identify common problems related to cooling and heat pump systems.
  • The background to inspect residential dwelling, including the interior water supply and distribution systems.
  • The skills to identify any issues, including the material condition, and safety concerns relating to the exterior and interior of a home.
  • The knowledge to comply with the applicable laws and regulations, contracts, and business practices related to home inspection.
• Career Opportunties

  To work in either the public or private sector of the home inspection industry, as well as being self employed as a Home Inspector.
